Haley Kemper

Haley Kemper is the product of international education. Her parents are both elementary teachers and moved her and her younger sister from small town California to Dhaka, Bangladesh when Haley was just nine years old. After three years at the American International School of Dhaka the family then moved to the American Community School in Abu Dhabi, UAE and on to the American Embassy School in New Delhi, India where Haley and her sister graduated high school. Her parents just completed their 15th year at the school and have moved on to Brasilia, Brazil. 

Haley attended The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington and spent most of her undergraduate career studying abroad in Ireland, the Peruvian Amazon, Thailand, and Cambodia. She focused her studies on cultural anthropology. 

Two months after graduating with her bachelor's degree, Haley enrolled at San Jose State University in their Library Science program. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Masters in Library and Information Sciences in May of 2014. 

Her first teaching job was as a library assistant at San Domenico School in Marin County, California. She taught here for one year before moving to Ningbo, China where she took on the role as K-12 Teacher Librarian. The next year she moved to Yangon, Myanmar where she was the PreSchool-12 Teacher Librarian, overseeing libraries on two campuses. 

This is her third year at the American International School of Bucharest, Romania where she is the PYP Teacher Librarian.
